Persist

Your life isn’t yours anymore.

The day you accepted Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior was the day you became different.

You are a child of God,

you are a symbol of truth,

you are an instrument of righteousness,

you are better than the person you were before.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Where the old you was delicate, God has made you firm.

Where the old you was senseless, God has made you prudent.

Where the old you was cowardly, God has made you confident.

The issues and circumstances and circumstances that may have had influence over you in your past life are nothing before you now.

You become each day more and more of the person that God has created you to be.

Through your pursuit of Christ, you have overcome the world and every obstacle and temptation that exists within it.

In your decision to live for God alone, you are forever victorious.

So persist.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen

Hebrews 11:1

Persist beyond the long days of doubt and disbelief that arise when you think to yourself that despite your best efforts, nothing you do will ever change anything or help anyone.

Persist beyond the moments of darkness and hopeless that result from the tragic deceit that sometimes God just doesn’t care about you anymore.

Persist beyond the ideas and imaginations of evil and wickedness that emerge from the desire to live as though you had never become a new person through the commitment of your salvation.

Persist through the disbelief.

Persist through the darkness.

Persist through the temptation because, whether you know it or not, this world needs you.

19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

John 15:19

The world needs fathers who strive to set a good example for their kids with love and understanding rather than smugness and indifference.

The world needs mothers who aim to guide their children with wisdom and prudence instead of ignorance and self-righteousness.

The world needs generous givers who would make strides to better care for and serve his fellow man rather than leave him to starve out on the streets.

The world needs unyielding workers who take pride in exceeding the expectations of the work they do rather than be content with swill and mediocrity.

The world needs patient supporters who aren’t afraid to go to the ends of the earth to bring those that they care about away from the ills of self-loathing and anxiety rather than leave them to wallow in their deepest and darkest insecurities so long as they can keep us entertained whenever we’re around them.

The world needs people who are strong enough to love rather than allow weakness to lure them into hatred.

The world needs peace and harmony rather than hypocrisy and instability.

The world needs justice and righteousness, not sin and suffering.

And the world needs people who strive to embody the love, righteous, and peace that it so desperately needs just to survive.

That’s why the world needs you.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2

So persist.

Persist in discovering truth.

Persist in uplifting the gospel.

Persist in loving those that don’t love you.

Persist in the challenge of living a truly Christian life in 2018.

Persist in choosing love over hatred.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

Persist in these things not only because these are things that need to be done in the world around you but also because through your dedication and commitment to the truth and righteousness of Jesus Christ, you have the strength and capability to see them to completion.

God is calling your name.

With him at your side, you can do anything.

Live a life that is worthy of the person that you have become in your pursuit of righteous and live a life that is profoundly and completely free of any and all forms of regret.
