When you tell yourself you can’t do something, what you actually mean to say is that you just don’t want to do something.
You say this either because what you want to do either seems too inconvenient to accomplish or because you simply don’t have the knowledge required to do it.
And that’s ok.
Everyone has their own dreams, everyone has their own desires, and everyone has their own preferences.
Your ability to say no to certain things is to be celebrated not ignored.
But when you tell yourself that you can’t do the things you want to do or dream of doing, you’re lying to yourself.
You convince yourself that you are not determined enough to do what is necessary.
You convince yourself that you are not focused enough to learn what is necessary.
You convince yourself that you are not strong enough to endure what is necessary.
You convince yourself that you can’t when in reality, you can do anything.
13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.
So pray for the determination to work towards your goals.
Pray for the focus to hone your talents.
And Pray for the strength to endure what comes next.
There is a God, and through him, you can do anything you set your mind to.
So set your mind on the right thing, then get going.
There is nothing stopping you.
